| In Hawaii, the Ukulele is an important part of the history and culture. It is the instrument that many Hawaiian school children learn, and continue to play throughout their lives.
My Ukuleles are precisely made, with sturdy but light construction, and fine detail. These are not miniature guitars. Every facet of the instrument is scaled down to the thicknesses and dimensions of the originals, creating a sound that is sweet, punchy and responsive. I use Hawaiian Koa, either highly figured or straight grain Koa is available.
Ukuleles can be ordered in Soprano, Concert, Tenor and Baritone sizes, with traditional Rope, or Rosewood, or Ivoroid binding, Satin or high gloss lacquer finish, and custom inlays.

The little Uke pictured here was sold at the Healdsburg Guitar Festival in August. It is a soprano Uke, made with Highly Figured Koa, a heart-shaped soundhole, traditional rope binding, and a Satin finish. This one is called the "Little Jed" model, after our dog, Jed, who died of cancer earlier this year.
